About us              

The University Sport Association of Poland (AZS) was established in 1909 so soon we will celebrate its 100 anniversary. AZS is the oldest and the biggest sport students organisation in Poland, its units are present in almost every university and college and currently it has over 50 000 members. Among them there are many medallists of Olympic Games, Universiades and World University Championships. Furthermore AZS’ members actively take part in sport events such as league matches in different sports, being an important part of best Polish teams.

As the member of FISU, AZS has already organized in Poland many important sport events such as: World University Rowing Championship 2000 (Poznań), World University Table Tennis Championship 2002 (Wrocław), WUCh Badminton 2002 (Cracow), WUCh Wrestling 2004 (Łódź), WUCh Futsal 2006 (Poznań). In 2008 9th FISU Forum will be held in Cracow.
